Kegong was born in Datong of Shanxi with name Yanjing, nickname
Fangshan Taoist. He belonged to minority and an artist in Yuan dynasty.
His original family home was Baomu of Western Regions. Cause his
grandfather had already intermarried the han nationality, Gao Kegong
had the deep research to Chinese language. He lived in Yanjing (modern
Peking), and move to Qiantang (modern Hangzhou of Zhejiang)in his
old age. He was good at landscape, followed Midi and Mi Youren,
and copied Dongyuan in his old age and the whiteness and wetness
of his style was canonized by Zhao Mengzhao. He was the famous artist
in the monority. |
