| Suxuan with name Erxuan, another
name Xiaoming, nickname Sishui or Langgong was a famous
seal-cutting artist in Ming dynasty. He followed Wenpeng,
and began the calligraphy sculpture. After then, he
studies from the seal directly and copied to sculpt
nearly thousand pieces. He also studied well in the
structure of characters and finally, formed the unique
style, he, Suxuan set up the sculpture of Sishui faction,
and was famous with Wenpeng and He Zhenqi in the seal
field. He sculpted the seal and rearranged the seal
to edit "Su's seal works" around 537 pieces by himself,
which completely reflected all his accomplishment on
the life. Suxuan paid attention to the changing on the
form. His layout was full of moral, danger with staid.
His unique works had the complete rhythm, and had a
great influence to Chengsui, Dingjing, Deng Shiru in
future. |
