Yu Zhiding Qing dynasty  
Yu Zhiding was born in Jiangdu (modern Yangzhou) of Jiangsu, with name Shangji, nickname Shenzhai, also called Shangji. He worked in the court in 1681. In the early time, he followed the landscape master, Lanying, coped from the famous artists, ancient books in Song and Yuan's. He was good at the characters, especially the beauties, also the landscape, flowers and birds. The line drawing was copied from Li Gonglin, which the characters on the works was beyond the bind, with the exquisite and elegant design, the orchid leaves described as the texture of clothes. He was the first master during Kangxi period, the mini sculpture all came from him. It was said that he used the slow brush pen and the round lines before his fortieth, and after then with the strong brushwork and the folding lines. After his sixtieth, he used the brush pen freely, and the brushwork showed more and more cheezy. His works consisted of "Wang Shi Zhen rest" and "Wang Yuanqi planting chrysanthemum", which are all kept by the Palace Museum. "send-off" is collected in Chinese history museum.
