Shu embroidery is one of the most famous embroidery in China. It has another name "Chuan embroidery" which is the embroidery floorboard in the center of Chengdu. The producing areas of Shu embroidery fasten at Chengdu, Chongqing, Wenjiang, Beixian etc. area. With the long history, it is called "the treasure in the Shu area" together with Shu brocade.

Primarily, Shu embroidery was very popular in the folk, after the middle of Qing dynasty, formed the calling, especially the Kowloon alley and Kejia alley. The country feudal officials at that present set up the embroidery office in "working bureau".
