| In recent years, the porcelain has become the most precious
Chinese cultural relic that collected by museums and private collectors
all over the world in greatest amounts. Especially in recent years, the
auction prices of ancient porcelains increased greatly. The auction prices
of the fine porcelains, such as the porcelains from famous kilns of Song
Dynasty, the Qinghua from Yuan Dynasty, the porcelains from the official
kilns of Yongle, Xuande, Chenghua Reigns of Ming Dynasty and of Kangxi,
Yongzheng, Qianlong Reigns of Qing Dynasty, have frequently reach ten
thousand or million USD. Due to the great auction price, the "collection
craze," "smuggling craze," and "imitating craze" of Chinese porcelains
have been further unfolded. Among the present porcelains, it is hard to
say that there are not many faked, poor porcelains in the market. This
makes the porcelain-lovers be at a loss as to what to do. So, in order
to master the laws to distinguish the genuine from the fakes, we should
systematically learn the basic knowledge on the determination of cultural
relics, and master the different characteristics of the porcelains in
different ages, meanwhile, study some special rules of the imitations
of porcelains. |
