Xu Hantang
Born in 1933 in Yixing, Jiangsu province. He is born in a family of
potters, and learned potting techniques under Gu Jingzhou from the
early 1930s. Proficient in fundamental techniques, Xu is skilled in
producing a wide variety of wares including items of traditional design,
miniatures, and works of innovative design. His works are represented
in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and
of the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware in Hong Kong.
